Iceday

Over a half inch of rain fell overnight onto surface temperatures under 32 degrees.

Happy February 1st.

School was first posted as two hour delay but has since been cancelled.

Of course my stalwart bus driver DH had to leave to go to the bus barn before that cancellation came through.

The coffee pot is on and I'm waiting for him to be home "drectly" (sic). (His radio signoff was "Put the coffepot on, Sugar, I'll be home drectly.")

Not nice wesater to be out in. Sorry DH had to go out in it for for reason. Driving would be no fun. I remember that from his radio days. Hope you got some goodies to go along with the coffee when he comes home. Stay warm, knit much today.

Everyhing here was closed today, even Western Michigan Univeristy which never closes. I suspect the fact that it's Friday had something to do with that. :-)

It's such a blessing to be retired and not have to get up and drive someplace on trecherous roads before the sun comes up. I got up, grabbed my coffee and my knitting and turned on the radio to listen to road reports.

The amaryllis is awesome. What a wonderful way to cheer up this dreary winter.

Have a great weekend.
